This is another poetry and prose blog.  I started it after having a crazy lucid dream on Boxing Day 2011, which led me to the wonderful spiritual and writing teacher Julie Tallard Johnson, embarking on her year long Initiation Wheel process.  It was the serendipitous presentation of an opportunity to clear the way for living life in a more authentic, joyful and awakened way.  In the end it took two years to make my way through the Wheel.  Honestly?  I’m still making my way through.  Continuing to learn and re-learn. How to live with purpose, and a sense of humour.  How to be human.   I once had a lucid dream in which I was offered three opportunities to ask what the secret of life was.  The first answer told me to have fun, and look after my little ones, the second came in the form of the Fleetwood Mac song ‘Everywhere’!  I think my sub-conscious, and all that lies beyond it, was gently telling me to lighten up, take care of what’s happening now, and continually come into awareness of the connection of all things.

So this is another poetry and prose blog.  It’s about making and finding meaning.  It’s about wanting to be everywhere.  It’s about taking the risk to express and to grow.  It’s about connection.

  1. I love how the Great Unknown gave you a Fleetwood Mac song to puzzle out the meaning of life. I once heard a Train song 30 days in a row (everywhere I went it was playing) and am still convinced there is some divine message in Drops of Jupiter.;)
Are music, memory and history inextricably intertwined?
You’re a fascinating woman. Write more!

  2. Well…. I just had to check that song out!
Now that she’s back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there’s time a to change, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey

From what I know of your story from your writing….. this song is all about you! How super cool! xxxxxx

  3. Wow Dominique, thank you for finding me and liking my poems, which led me to look for your blog and I got to Julie’s page on FB too, and everything is so lined up! 😀

Such happiness, I dream lots too and have lucid dreams and directions etc and I was supposed to be in South Africa for my birthday this winter, I had decided so, but a bad flu nailed me in Italy.
But I went to Switzerland a month later and had a private view of a documentary on Rodriguez- Searching for Sugar man (if you haven’t seen it you ought to) which had to do with South Africa! Been living in London and last year came so many times there, that’s when I started my new collection of poems “The London Hours” as you can see in my blog or hear one of them in this video poetry just published.

Can we stay in touch and get to know each other? This seems so perfect to me!
